Terms of Use

Welcome to DisseSim!

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services offered by DisseSim!, an online platform that allows couples to create and customize their wedding websites, manage gift registries, photo albums, ceremony and reception information, and receive RSVPs from guests.

By accessing or using any part of DisseSim!, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our services.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DisseSim!, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using the services on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age and be legally capable of entering into contracts. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Registration and User Account (Bride and Groom)

  • Account Creation: To create a wedding website, the bride and groom must register, providing accurate and complete information, such as name, email, password, telephone number and address.
  • Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
  • Personal Information: All personal information provided during registration and use of the platform will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Use of Services

  • Creating a Wedding Website: The platform allows couples to create and customize their wedding website with sections such as: Our Story, Reception Location, Gift Registry, Photo Album and RSVP.
  • User Content: You are solely responsible for the content you publish on your wedding website, including text, photos and any other media. You warrant that you have the necessary rights to the content published or have permission to publish it.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
    • Publish content that is illegal, defamatory, offensive, obscene, discriminatory or that violates third party rights (copyright, intellectual property, privacy).
    • Use the platform for any fraudulent or illegal purpose.
    • Attempt to access other users' accounts or unauthorized systems.
    • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform.
    • Distribute viruses, malware or any destructive code.
    • Send spam or other messages to other users.
  • Confirmation of Attendance (RSVP): The RSVP tool aims to assist the bride and groom in organizing. DisseSim! is not responsible for the veracity of the information provided by guests or for their actual presence at the event.
  • Gift Lists: The platform offers a gift list functionality with cash receipt, the specific terms and conditions for this functionality will be detailed separately.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Our Property: All software, design, graphics, logos, trademarks and other elements of the DisseSim! platforms are our property or licensed to us, protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
  • Your Property: The content that you (bride/groom) publish on your wedding website (your story, photos, texts) remains your property. However, by publishing it on our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce and distribute such content, solely for the purpose of operating and making your wedding website available to guests.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

  • Availability: DisseSim! strives to keep the platform available and functional, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation.
  • Content Quality: We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy or legality of the content published by users (brides and guests) on their websites.
  • Damages: Under no circumstances will DisseSim! or its directors, employees, partners or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including, without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, resulting from your access or use, or inability to access or use the services.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the services immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you violate any of the provisions of these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the services will immediately cease.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Brazil. The jurisdiction of the District of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, is elected to resolve any issues related to these Terms, to the exclusion of any others, however privileged it may be.
